August: Lemongrass Peridot Soap + Lemongrass Scented Candle — The golden hues of August's birthstone, the peridot, are matched with the luscious and herbaceous lemony scent of lemongrass, with the addition in this product of lemongrass essential oil. Colors move in ombre layers from dark chartreuse to golden lemon, and have a bit of sparkle thanks to the mica colorants. Peridot soap “gems” are propped atop this tall, hand-decorated soap, alongside golden bursting beads.
Peridot has been commonly called the "gold stone" and the usage of the name "peridot" dates back to the 13th century. For much of this time, the stone has been confused with golden topaz or emeralds as they occur in similar colors. At one time in its history, the peridot was valued more highly than the diamond. This soap changes that!! Just remember, soap is not edible: Use all senses but taste to enjoy this! ;)
The ruby has had many symbolic meanings throughout time and around the world: charity, dignity, divinity, life, and happiness. This gem was one of the gems in the magical necklace of Vishnu, one of the most important holy gods in Hinduism. (birthstone.guide)
